LONDON (AFP) - The euro slid under 1.38 dollars on Thursday for the first time since June, as the ECB failed to dispel fears that debt woes affecting Greece were spreading to EU members including Spain and Portugal.
At about 1515 GMT, the euro slumped to 1.3778 dollars, which was the lowest point since June 2009. That compared with 1.3884 late in New York on Wednesday.
